Jorhat, July 9: Three more persons expired due to COVID-19 thereby raising the total number of cumulative COVID deaths in Jorhat district to 249.
Jorhat Deputy Commissioner Ashok Kumar Barman informed that Mridul Pagbondha (M, 60) of Bamun Pukhuri, Jorhat, Phula Saikia (F, 55) of Rongdoi Da Gaon, Jorhat and Haran Mazumder (M, 70) Ward number 1, Mariani, Jorhat, died due to COVID.
Barman stated that altogether 173
people were found positive in Jorhat district on Thursday thereby increasing the total number of cumulative positive cases to 25354.
The Deputy Commissioner informed that the total number of active cases in the district was 2062 while the number of discharged after recovery was 22971 in the district on Thursday.
