Jorhat, June 16: Three more persons expired due to COVID-19 thereby raising the total number of cumulative COVID related deaths in Jorhat district to 186.
Jorhat Deputy Commissioner Ashok Kumar Barman informed that Uttam Kr Baruah (M, 52) of Dahabora Chuk, Jorhat, Bulu Bora (F, 71) of Pulibor, Jorhat and Samir Chandra Mazumder (M, 67) of Ward No 2 Mariani, Jorhat, died due to COVID-19.
Barman stated that altogether 185 people were found positive in Jorhat district on Tuesday thereby increasing the total number of cumulative positive cases to 21280.
The Deputy Commissioner informed that total number of active cases in the district was 2021while the number of discharged after recovery was 19,001 in the district on Tuesday.
