21st APBN jawan injured in Lailapur interstate clash to be sent to AIIMS Delhi for further treatment

Silchar, Dec 22: A jawan of 21 Assam Police Battalion, Gopeshwar Sinha, who was among the police persons injured in the Assam Mizoram interstate border clash at Lailapur in Cachar district in July earlier this year will be shifted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Delhi for further treatment, tweeted Special DGP GP Singh.

"We will soon shift him to AIIMS Delhi for further treatment. With Almighty's blessings he would soon be with us, fit and fine," Singh tweeted. It may be mentioned that Patharkandi MLA Krishnendu Paul had posted a tweet after visiting Gopeshwar Sinha, who is a resident of the constituency. The injured jawan is undergoing treatment at the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital. (GMCH). "Went to meet Gopeshwar Sinha at GMCH. He is recovering gradually," the legislator said.
