Diphu, Aug 23: As reported earlier the two day long, first Deputy Commissioner's conference began at Diphu, headquarter town of Karbi Anglong autonomous district from Sunday, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sharma Chief Minister of Assam chaired the consultation meet at Arboretum cum Craft Centre surrounded by extreme greenery.
Top bureaucrats and administrators of Assam government were present in the conference. Deputy Speaker of Assam Assembly Dr. Numol Momin, Minister Dr. Ronaj Pegu, Ashok Singhal, Jogan Mohan, Member of Parliament from hills of Assam Horensing Bey, all MLAs of Karbi Anglong was present with the Chief Minister.
Additional Chief Secretary of Assam Government, Principal Secretary of BTAD, Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council, Commissioner and Special Secretary of all developmental departments of Assam government, Director General of Police held discussion on specific areas.
"State government's administration and local administration needs close coordination, recently a conference of Deputy Commissioners and Superintendent of Police was held at Kagiranga, likewise meetings will be organized at different places of the state within an interval of six months' '. Dr. Himanta Biswa Sharma told the media after the first day's session.
The apex level meeting will take up issues related to government thrust areas tomorrow which includes creation of district infrastructure, food and civil supply under the realm of one nation one ration card, land acquisition – allotment and survey of non cadastral land, transport and mines- minerals, forest, Excise- PMKSY- Irrigation, power, social welfare, Jal Jeevan Mission, health, education, P&RD& livelihood, agriculture(PM Kisan), GDD( housing for poor), Fisheries PMMSY, PWRD (PMGSY) PWD(B&H).
Ten selected Deputy Commissioners will address the meeting tomorrow beside the Additional Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary, Commissioner and Special Secretary of various departments and Chief Secretary of Assam in presence of the Chief Minister.
