17,000 candidates across Barak Valley to appear in TET examination

Silchar, Oct 29: As many as 17,000 candidates across 60 centres in Cachar district will appear in the LP and UP level Assam Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) examination on Sunday, said Inspector of Schools Cachar Samina Yesmin Ara Rahman.

Talking to the media, Yesmin Ara Rahman informed that for all three districts of Barak Valley, Cachar is the only zone for the examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education Assam (SEBA).

"On behalf of SEBA, Inspector of Schools Cachar have been assigned to conduct the examination here. We have taken elaborate arrangements for conducting the exam in a hassle-free manner for the candidates. District Administration and Cachar Police have extended cooperation in terms of security and other arrangements. There are flying squads deployed and 60 supervising officers for all the 60 examination centres across the district have been deployed by the district administration; while 30 supervisors from Kamrup Metro and another 30 supervising officers from Nagaon district will arrive here so that each centre has two supervising officers including local supervising officers, 30 supervising officers from Cachar district will be visiting Nagaon district for the examination. We are optimistic that the examination will be conducted in a great spirit," the Inspector of Schools said.
