Dhubri, June 30: In a bid to curb the rising robbery cases in the Bilasipara and Chapar area Dhubri Police team in a special operation launched under the leadership of Birinchi Borah, SDPO, Bilasipara and arrested twelve alleged dacoits and thieves, in the last few days.
Police said that most of these arrested dacoits and thieves were engaged in more than one robbery case. Police also said that against some arrested accused, allegations of heinous crimes like murder and rape is also pending.
Bilasipara Police informed that the operation against such crime will continue till the cases of robbery in the area come to an end. It may be mentioned that there has been a stiff rise in robbery cases all over Bilasipara Sub Division, in the last few weeks.
