Silchar, Aug 22: There has been a phenomenal change in the way the State Government is rendering responsibilities towards the people of the state, said Lakhipur MLA Kaushik Rai.

Addressing a gathering at a programme on "100 days of Good Governance" at the conference hall of DRDA, on the occasion of State Government headed by Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma completing 100 days of work, Rai said, "some key decisions were taken to make the Government more efficient and effective which has brought a wave of change across various sectors under the leadership of the Chief Minister. The government, by appointing Guardian Ministers for each district, has started a new measure for ushering in all-round development."

He also added that the state government has taken steps to recruit one lakh job aspirants in various departments. The recruitment process for these posts will start from September 2021 which will be completed within March 2022.

Speaking on the programme, Udharbandh MLA Mihir Kanti Shome said that the people have benefited a lot since the Government popularized the message "no to bribe '' in the state.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Deepak Jidung explained the significance of the day and the objectives of the meeting. Booklets were distributed among distinguished guests and journalists. Silchar Development Authority chairman Manjul Dev; CEO Cachar Zilla Parishad Eldad Faihriem; BJP President of Cachar District Bimalendu Roy were amongst others who attended the programme.
