GUWAHATI, Sep 1 - Assam won 11 medals including 2 gold in the WAKO India Cadet and Senior National Kickboxing Championship which was held at SAI Complex, NSEC, Kolkata from August 25 to 30.
The meet was hosted by Kickboxing Association of West Bengal under the auspices of Technical Council of WAKO India where more than 1,700 players from 29 states participated.
The medal winners in different weight categories are: Abdulla Ali, Chayanika Gogoi (both gold), Sanjib Saikia, Priyanka Dhadumia, Ajit Mandal, Chandan Rabha, Ruksana Khatun, Silsa D Sangma, Rani Guwala, Gayotri Gogoi, Daisy Rabha (all bronze).
The team was led by Upen Das, Alauddin Khan, Dibakar Lahon. Amrit Choudury and Kishor Rabha.
