GUWAHATI, Nov 7 � Assam made a flying start in the East Zone Vijay Hazare Trophy defeating Tripura by seven wickets.
At the Jadhavpur University ground, Kolkata today, Assam restricted Tripura to 160 and hit up 161 for the loss of three wickets in 32.2 overs. Parvez Aziz top scored for Assam with 72 off 82 balls. He hit 10 boundaries and a six. Gokul Sharma remained unbeaten on 66. Both Gokul and Parvez added 84 runs for the third wicket partnership.
