IMPHAL, May 8 - After their 2-2 draw against Hockey Bihar, Assam Hockey trounced Hockey Coorg (Karnataka) 5-1 in the ongoing 6th Hockey India Sub-Junior Men�s National Championship Division B played at the Khuman Lampak hockey stadium here on Sunday afternoon.

In their Pool D match, Assam�s Rahul Barma scored the first goal of the match in the 9th minute followed by 2 goals each by Manish Sahini and Arun Sahini. Hockey Coorg�s S Mondal scored their solitary goal in the 27th minute of the game.

In other matches, Madhya Pradesh beat Gujarat by 5-3 goals while Bengal defeated Madhya Bharat 2-0, Bihar beat Citizen Hockey(Delhi) 15-0, Rajasthan beat Mumbai Schools Sports Association 4-2. A total of 22 teams are taking part in the championship which is scheduled to conclude on May 16.
