Assam Tribune Edufair begins in Shillong

SHILLONG, May 15 � The two-day Assam Tribune Edufair 2014 began here today at the All Saint�s Hall with 23 top educational institutions taking part in this prestigious fair.

The career and education fair in the Northeastern region is being represented by many selected colleges and universities across the country. Institutes and educational groups coming from Guwahati, Delhi, Jaipur and other cities have put up their stalls in the fair.

As many as four Universities, ten Engineering colleges and several medical colleges have set up their stalls at the fair. All these institutions are affiliated to Government agencies and renowned Universities of the country.

During the day, several students who have passed out during the recent class XII Board examinations, were seen seeking information about getting admission in some of these institutions located all over the country.

Director of Impact Media, Indrajit Das said that the fair will help the students of Shillong to take appropriate career decisions. �It is a golden opportunity for the students to get first hand information from the representatives of these Universities and colleges about their future educational career,� Das said.
