GUWAHATI, Oct 2 - Assam registered a thumping 140 run victory against Associate and Affiliate team in their match of the Vinoo Mankad Trophy East Zone U-19 One Day Tournament at the Railway Stadium in Dhanbad today.
Electing to bat, Assam piled up 294 runs in 49.3 overs. Riyan Parag top scored with a fine knock of 144 runs off 120 deliveries while Arbin Singh scalped four wickets conceding 47 runs in his allotted 10 overs.
In reply, Associate and Affiliate could only manage 154 runs before being bundled out in 33.3 overs. Tripurari Keshav scored 61 off 81 balls while Rahul Singh was the wrecker in chief with eight wickets to his kitty for 21 runs in his eight overs.
