GUWAHATI, Aug 3 - A 10-members Assam team left for Ahmedabad to participate in the 33rd National U-9 Chess Championship to be organised by the Gujarat State Chess Association on behalf of All India Chess Federation.

In the boys section Assam champion Mrinmoy Rajkhowa of Guwahati along with Aditya Kiran Borgohain of Sivasagar, Abhishek Bordoloi of Jorahat, Vedant Veer Heda of Guwahati and Abhirup Saikia of Guwahati will lead the challenge for Assam.

In Girls Category State champion Hridika Das of Guwahati and runners-up Angana JP Dutta of Sivasagar will represent Assam. Afhseen Afsha Jaman of Guwahati, Prisheta Goneka and Debarati Dey both from Cachar will participate as special entry. Nirmalya Chakraborty of Cachar is the team manager of the team.
