GUWAHATI, Nov 22 � Assam took a decent 130-run first innings lead against Jammu and Kashmir in their Plate Group U-19 Cooch Behar Trophy match.
On the second day of the four-day match at the NF Railway Stadium, Maligaon here today, in reply to Jammu and kashmir�s first innings total of 228, Assam gathered 358 losing all the wickets.
Assam captain Roshan Basfor, who was unbeaten on 84 yesterday, completed his century and was out for 122. Another unbeaten batsman Sashank Neggi was out for 129. But other batsmen failed to provide major contributions.
In the second innings the visiting team scored 145 losing four wickets. Ashif Khan (49) and Sidharth Mangotra (47) were the notable contributors. Abhoy Yadav took two wickets for Assam while Kon Orang and Roshan Basfor took one each.
