BISWANATH CHARIALI, March 20 - The 10th biennial session of the Assam State Power Workers� Union will be held at Kamalakanta Natya Samaj field with a three-day-long programme from March 22.
A strong reception committee with RP Hazarika as the president and Utpal Saikia as the general secretary is working round the clock for the smooth conduction of the programme. The programme will commence with the opening of the delegates� camp at 4.30 pm on March 22 followed by the State executive meeting. The second day�s programme will begin with flag hoisting at 9 am by Brajen Bori, president of the union whic will be followed by swahid tarpan.
The open session will begin at 2 pm and a good number of dignitaries including State Power Minister Topon Gogoi, Mohan Sharma and Kapil Yadav, general secretary and assistant general secretary, respectively, of Akhil Bharat Bidyut Karmi Mahasangha, Rakesh Agarwal, Managing Director of APDCL, Kalyani Baruah, Managing Director of APGCL, local MLAs, among others, are likely to grace the occasion.
