Assam secretariat to function from April 21 with 33 per cent staff

GUWAHATI, April 18: The Assam government has decided to resume functioning of the departments in the State secretariat Janata Bhavan from April 21, but with a slew of conditions.

All officials in the rank of Deputy Secretary and above will attend office, according to a notification.

Maximum of 33 per cent of the staff of Grade III and Grade IV categories will attend office on rotation basis.

All personal staff attached to the ministers, advisors, seniormost secretaries and OSDs will also attend office.

The staff will have to adhere to various precautions like wearing masks and social distancing.

All workplaces will have adequate arrangement for temperature screening and sanitizers.
