SHILLONG, Oct 11 - The two-day annual Assam Rifles Inspector Generals� Conference began at the Assam Rifles headquarters at Laitkor here today.
The conference is being chaired by Director General Assam Rifles, Lt Gen Sukhdeep Sangwan. The meet is expected to seek solutions to threats that challenge internal peace and security of the North Eastern States, as also the issues related to Indo-Myanmar border management.
The conference will also discuss plans and strategise various security parameters pertaining to international border management by the troops, an official said.
Issues relating to modernisation of force, smart solutions, leveraging technology for operations, and man management to enhance efficiency of the Assam Rifles will also be taken up during the conference.
