SHILLONG, Dec 30 - The Directorate General Assam Rifles has installed 28 solar street lights in three villages of East Khasi Hills district of Meghalaya on December 29 under its civic action programme, a press release said.
Six lights were installed at Laitlum village, 12 at Umiew Maw-U-Sam and 10 at Umtngew in the vicinity of Smit village.
The project was inaugurated by Col JP Sattigiri, Commandant, DGAR FIU.
