The Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) conceptualised political party Raijor Dal is all set to select its new executive body.
The newly floated party held lengthy sessions with intellectuals, social scientists, educationists and prominent leaders on the second day of its convention on Friday.
The meetings were presided over by Tulsi Das, president of the organising committee. The three-day convention is being held at Mahaveer Lachit Borphukan Khetra in Natun Nagar near Moranhat, some 40 km from here. Friday’s session started with a cleanliness drive followed by plantation of saplings.
The meeting discussed the party structure, its constitution, ideology and thrust areas. The party also took advice from representatives of various ethnic communities and organisations including Satra Sangathan, KMSS), Veer Lachit Sena and the artiste fraternity. However, as speculated, Raijor Dal has not yet decided on the possible alliance with the Assam Jatiya Parishad (AJP).
