GUWAHATI, Oct 22 � Assam recorded a six-wicket victory against Tripura in the East Zone T 20 Cricket tournament for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy against at Cuttack today.
Chasing a modest target of 118, Assam reached the target comfortably in the 19th over. For Tripura, who were put into bat, Swapan Das top scored with 36 while WA Mota contributed 28. Finally they were all out for 117 in 18.3 overs. Pritam Das, Dhiraj Goswami, Arlen Konwar and Parvez Aziz shared two wickets each as S Sriram took one.
S Sriram (39, n.o), Pritam Debnath (34) were the leading run getter for Assam while Deepak Sharma and Amol Mazumder added 14 runs each to the total. Assam�s last match is against Jharkhand on October 24.
