GUWAHATI, Jan 24: Gauhati Town Club, DCA Dhubri, Friends Club Bilasipara, Cricket Club of Dibrugarh (Masters), Unique Club and Sonitpur Club have registered victories in their respective matches of the 3rd Assam Premier Club Championship played at different venues today.
The championship is being organised by Assam Cricket Association.
In a match played at the Judges Field here, Titan Club won the toss and opted to bat. They were all out for 143 in 37.4 overs. In reply, Gauhati Town Club chased the total in 20.4 overs losing 4 wickets. In Dhubri, DCA Dhubri were all out in 161 in 21.2 overs after put into bat. In replay, New Gadadhar Club were all out for 143 all out in 20.2 overs. In a match played at Bilasipara, Bright Star Club Bangalipara were all out for mere 106 in 22.3 overs and Friends Club Bilasipara chased down the total in 18.5 overs losing 5 wickets.
In Dibrugarh, Cricket Club of Dibrugarh (Masters) posted 182 for 9 wickets in 30 overs. Chasing the modest target, Evergreen Club could manage just 109 in 21.5 overs. In Kaliabor, Unique Club scored 115 in 26.2 overs losing all the wickets and Friendship Club were all out for paltry 35 in 11.4 overs. In Tezpur, New Friends Club scored 191 in 30 overs losing all the wickets and in reply Sonitpur Club scored 193 in 22.5 overs losing 6 wickets.
