GUWAHATI, May 22 � The Assam Police (AP) on Tuesday entered into an MoU with State Bank of India for payment of salaries to its officers and employees under Police Salary Package (PSP).
The MoU was signed by Apurba Jibon Baruah, DIG (Administration) on behalf of AP and SK Kandar, Deputy General Manager, zonal office here on behalf of SBI, in presence of JN Choudhury, Director General of Assam Police, Pradip Kumar, Additional DGP, Mahendra Aditya Sahu, General Manager, SBI, local head office here, along with other police and bank officials.
Thus, the payment of salaries to police personnel has been simplified and streamlined. Several benefits and concession will also be provided by the SBI to the officers and employees of AP covered under PSP a press release stated.
