Assam Police athletes dominate ID meet

SIVASAGAR, Dec 19 - The Assam Police team dominated the medal tally in the ongoing ONGC sponsored 40th Senior and Junior All Assam Athletic Championship here at the Darbar Field.

Dipali Deori of Assam Police got two gold medals in women�s triple and long jump. In the 4x400 m relay, Assam Police secured 1st position with 3:36.9 sec, Nagaon and Silchar secured 2nd and 3rd positions respectively. In men�s 200m Azizul Haque, Bijoy Shill and Shatradhar Gogoi took top three positions while in men�s long jump top three position holders are Subhan Gogoi, Krishna Baruah and Dunalastair Barman. In men�s triple jump Dipankar Bora, Subhan Gogoi and Pranjal chetia captured first three positions respectively.
