GUWAHATI, June 16 - Three Assam players � Kristi Boro, Andy Thaosen and Anchit Gogoi clinched titles in the AITA Championship Series Tennis Tournament which concluded at the All Assam Tennis Association�s complex in Chachal here today.
Top seed Kristi Boro bagged the girls U-14 title while another top seed won the boys U-12 crown.
Third seed Anchit Gogoi emerged champion in the boys U-14 category by defeating Arunava Majumdar 6-3, 6-2.
However, in the girls U-12 group, 2nd seed Shimreen Ahamed of West Bengal clinched the title defeating top seed and her State mate Bhumi Shekhar.
Meanwhile, tournament director Ankush Dutta informed that the qualifying rounds of the AITA Championship Series for boys and girls U-16 years and U-18 years will commence tomorrow at the same venue.
