JORHAT, Sept 12 - Eighth seed Jeet Dutta and seventh seed Shahir Farhaz of Assam caused two major upsets today by defeating third seeded Wyatt Rowan O Brian of West Bengal 6-3, 6-3 and second seed Anargha Ganguly of Maharashtra 6-3, 6-4 respectively in the AITA Championship Series Tennis Tournament at the Jorhat Tennis Club here.
By virtue of these victories, both Jeet and Shahir made it through to the last-eight stage in the boys U-16 category.
In the girls semifinal, unseeded Justina Borgohain of Assam upset second seed Shakshi Baruah 6-1, 6-4.
