Assam-Nagaland border issues discussed

DERGAON, March 22 - A meeting was held between the administrations of Golaghat district of Assam and Wakha district of Nagaland at Merapani on March 20 to discuss issues related to the inter-state border.

The meeting held at the No. 142 camp of the CRPF was attended by Golaghat Deputy Commissioner Dhiren Hazarika, ADC Ranjit Swargiary, Additional Superintendent of Police Surajit Singh Paneswar, Wakha DC Manajir Jilani, Superintendent of Police Monoj Kumar along with the border districts� magistrates and officers of CRPF.

The meeting adopted a resolution to settle the border disputes through discussion and to organise cultural programmes in the border areas for developing communal harmony among the residents.
