Assam in trouble against Himachal

GUWAHATI, July 28 - Assam were tottering at 139 for nine in reply to Himachal Pradesh�s first innings total of 431 in the Dr Capt K Thimmappiah Memorial Tournament Cricket Tournament organised by the Karnataka State Cricket Association.

On the second day of the four-day match at the Alur 3 Ground, Bangalore today, resuming at the overnight total of 307 for five, Himachal Pradesh were all out for 413 in 125 overs.

Chasing the mammoth total Asam were in trouble from the very beginning losing wickets at regular intervals. Ankush Bedi (5/41) and Shreshth Nirmohi (3/24) wrecked the Assam innings as no batsman could counter the Himachal bowlers. Sib Sankar Roy (24) remained the top scorer for Assam.
