GUWAHATI, Feb 23 - Assam made it to the final round of the senior national football championship for the Santosh Trophy.
Assam has qualified from the North Eastern Zone of the championship. Today Assam defeated Meghalaya 1-0 in a group league match. Nabin Rabha netted the match winning goal in the seventh minute.
Earlier, Assam defeated Nagaland 2-0 in their opening group league encounter.
It is for the second consecutive year that Assam entered the main round of the championship.
