Assam go down to Meghalaya

GUWAHATI, Sept 14 - Hopewell Elias Higher Secondary School, Shillong, Meghalaya edged past Bampathar Bengenabari HS School, Charaideo 1-0 in a quarterfinal match of the Boys U-17 Subroto Cup International Football Tournament in New Delhi today.

With this defeat all the Assam teams, Boys U-14, U-17, Girls U-17 have been eliminated from the championship. The Boys U-14 and Girls U-17 teams reached the semifinal stage while the Boys U-17 team was sent packing from the quarterfinal stage.
