GUWAHATI, July 28 - Two Assam girls � Jantee Hazarika and Rajashree Singha � have made it to the top ten of the popular television model hunt show India�s Next Top Model Season 2 being aired on MTV.
Rated among the top favourites, both Jantee and Rajashree have already received rave reviews from some of the celebrated names in the modeling industry, who appeared in the show and had auditioned them.
However, the duo while talking to this correspondent from Mumbai, opined that all the ten contestants are equally good and there is very little to choose from among the models who have reached the last leg of the show, which is aired at 7 pm on Sundays.
�I am confident about my chances. No matter what happens, the show has given us a platform from where we can only move forward. The fact that we got to meet some of the biggest names in the modeling industry during the course of the show is itself a great source of motivation,� Jantee said.
Jantee said that her mother was someone she still draws inspiration from. �My entire family stood behind me and my decision to pursue a career in modeling,� said Jantee, who had won the Miss North East Diva 2014 pageant.
Jantee had also reached the last legs of some of the popular pageants in the country, including Femina Miss India 2014.
On the other hand, Rajashree, who was born in Guwahati and raised in Mumbai, too feels that each of the ten girls stand a chance to win the title.
Rajashree said that she aspires to look beyond India and make a name for herself and the country in the international stage.
�Films, at the moment, are not in my mind. The prime goal is to cement my place as one of the leading models in the world,� she said, replying to a question if she would follow the footsteps of some of her seniors in the industry.
Rajashree said that the words of praise showered on her by country�s leading costume designer Manish Malhotra made her feel very confident.
