GUWAHATI, Sept 24 � Manisa Das of Lakhimpur has been picked up for the India Blue team for a triangular meet to be held at Boroda from October 1.
India Red and India Green are the other team in the meet. The players have been selected from different zonal camps and the Indian women team will be picked from this tournament. Manisa is a product of Lakhimpur coaching centre set up by Assam Cricket Association�s joint secretary and former Ranji player Umananda Bora.
It is for the first time that an Assamese girl has been selected as a probable for the Indian woman team. ACA secretary Bikash Baruah and senior member Pradip Kumar Hazarika congratulated Manisa for her selection and promised all possible help.
Manisa�s selection was made on the basis of her performance in an inter zonal meet at Ahmedabad. Playing for East Zone she hit 78 and took two wickets against West Zone.
