Assam forced to follow on

GUWAHATI, July 29 - Himachal Pradesh forced Assam to follow on as in reply to Himachal�s first innings total of 413, Assam were all out for 228.

On the third day of the four-day Dr Capt K Thimmappiah Memorial Cricket Tournament match at the Alur 3 Ground, Bangalore today, resuming at the overnight total of 139 for nine, Assam were all out for 228. Thanks to a 10th wicket partnership of 88 runs between Bikash Chetri (57 off 125 balls) and Krishna Das (34).

In the second knock Assam were 184 for the loss of four wickets. Tarjinder Singh (55) and K B Arun Karthick (batting 50) were the leading scorers for Assam.
