GUWAHATI, Oct 7 - Assam posted an eight-wicket victory against Saurashtra in the Senior Women�s One-day Tournament. In a plate group C league match at the VCA Stadium, Nagpur today, restricting the opponent to 98 for seven in 50 overs, Assam hit up 101 losing two wickets in 27.1 overs. Rumeli Dhar (50) and Anita Lodhi (not out 34) were the leading run-getters for Assam. Assam so far has collected 10 points from four matches with two victories and a draw.
Brief scores: Saurashtra 98/7 in 50 overs (Jayu Jadeja 44, M Jadeja 19, N Chavda 12; Devashree Konwar 3/18). Assam 101/2 in 27.1 overs (Rumeli Dhar 50, Anita Lodhi not out 34).
