GUWAHATI, Jan 4 - Assam got the better of Goa by four wickets in their second Group C League match of the Syed Mustaq Ali Trophy Senior Inter State T20 Cricket Tournament at the Reliance Cricket Stadium, Vadodara today.
Put into bat, Goa scored 132 for seven in their stipulated 20 overs. SS Bandekar and Swapnil A Asnodkar scored 24 runs each while Mrinmoy Dutta, Abu Nechim Ahmed and Syed Mohammed scalped two wickets each for Assam.
Assam reached the target in the final over losing six wickets. Pallav Das top scored with 44 off 29 balls (4x4, 6x2) while Amit Verma added 21. Amit Sinha and Syed Mohammed remained unbeaten with 18 and 16 runs respectively.
In the next match Assam will play against Delhi on January 6.
