�Assam Darpan DM Dashboard� launched

BAIHATA CHARIALI, July 2 - In a programme held yesterday at the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner�s Office, Kamrup, the 4th anniversary of �Digital India� was celebrated under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Kamal Kumar Baishya.

The meeting was attended by CEO, Zila Parishad, DDC, Kamrup, all ADCs and ACs, all members and chairperson of the Kamrup Zila Parishad, VLEs, CSC representatives and officers and staff of different departments.

In this meeting, the Kamrup Deputy Commissioner launched the �Assam Darpan DM Dashboard�. The DM Dashboard reflects the government�s performance and achievements to the citizens. The DM Dashboard is restricted to specific users of the district administration and will be made available to the citizens later on.

The Assam Darpan DM Dashboard facilitates the presentation of data on key performance indicators of the flagship schemes and projects of the government (both Central and State governments).

The DM Dashboard will help measure the outcome and impact of the schemes for taking appropriate and timely decisions and actions.

It is an important step taken by the Government of Assam under the �Digital India Programme� through which the details of key programmes and projects are made available to the people. The platform has been developed by the National Informatics Centre, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology as a part of the �Digital India Programme�.

District Informatics Officer Dipak Malla Buzarbaruah of NIC Kamrup gave a power-point presentation and elaborately described various projects run by the NIC.

In his inaugural speech, the Kamrup Deputy Commissioner requested all PRI members to avail the opportunity of �Digital India Programme� and generate awareness among the people to get its benefits.

He also requested all government officials to extensively use digital applications to ease government activities.

He mentioned that digital applications of NIC have drastically changed the day-to-day lives of common people.
