GUWAHATI, Aug 16 - In the recently concluded 6th North East Zonal Shooting Championship which was held in Aizawl from August 6 to 12, Assam became champion by winning 20 gold, 11 silver and 5 bronze medals.
A new record was also created by Nisha Baishya in 10 metres ISSF category by scoring 590 out of 600 in paper targets. In this championship the participating States were � Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland and Services as informed by Pallab Bhattacharyya, president, Assam Rifle and Shooting Association.
