GUWAHATI, Sept 5 - AG Assam emerged champions again in the Indian Audit and Accounts Department Badminton tournament held at Gorakhpur from September 3 to 5.
They beat AG Bihar 3-0 in the quarterfinals, AG Jharkhand 3-1 in the semifinals and AG Odisha 3-0 in the finals. The team comprised Padmakumar Das, Nitish Bora, Rajeeb Boruah, Mayuresh Borkotoky, Bijoy Kumar Barman and Rajkumar Baruah.
In the open event, Rajeeb Boruah and Mayuresh Borkotoky became champion in men�s doubles. AG Assam will play All India IA&AD tournament to be held at the same venue from September 7 to 9, stated a release.
