GUWAHATI, Feb 18 - Hosts Assam and Bihar entered the last-four stage of the IA and AD East Zone Cricket Tournament.
In two quarterfinal matches of the tournament played today at the ACA Stadium in Barsapara here, Assam defeated Tripura by 71 runs while at the Judges� Field, Bihar prevailed over Jharkhand by 42 runs.
In the opening ceremony at the Judges� Field, KS Gopinath Narayan, Account General (Audit) was the chief guest while former Assam Ranji player Naba Konwar was the guest of honour. Abdur Rauf is the convenor of the championship.
