GUWAHATI, Dec 12 - The Assam Association, Mumbai organized a free health check-up camp as a part of its social activities on November 29 last at Owe gram panchayat of Panvel Taluka in Raigad district, Maharashtra. Owe gram panchayat, a cluster of several villages including a few Adivasi villages arranged wide publicity and provided logistic support at the venue. Several diagnostic investigations namely, BP, random blood sugar, uric acid, dental check-up and bone mineral density (BMD) tests were the highlight of the camp, where hundreds of people got the benefit, a press release of the Association said.
The event was possible due to the full support and encouragement of specialist doctors of the Assamese community namely Dr JK Das, Dr Robin Borthakur, Dr Gautam Kalita, Dr Saptarshi Hazarika and Dr Prerana Kalita Hazarika.
Dr BK Saw arranged uric acid and BMD test through M/s Lupin and Torrent Pharmaceutical companies respectively.
