GUWAHATI, June 7 - The Arm Wrestling Association of Assam announced the State team for the 43rd National Arm Wrestling Championship to be held in Chhattisgarh from June 19.
The national championship has been recognised by the Indian Arm Wrestling Federation, an affiliated unit of the world and Asian arm wrestling bodies. The Indian team for the 41st World Arm Wrestling Championship, to be held in Romania from October 26 will be picked from this meet.
The team members are: (Boys) Rajib Bania, Manish Sahu, Manikant Yadav, Pranjal Das, Aman Totia, Pinak Biswas, Mohit Sarma, Plabanjyoti Mahanta, Santush Sahu. (Men) Surajit Paul, Sahil Hussain, Amlan Bibhab Hazarika, Tridip Medhi, Yusuf Khan, Masum Janid, Amardeep Singh, Kankan Buragohain, Bikash Sarma, Siddhartha Malakar, Jagadish Baruah, Abed Ali, Rudra Chetia, Pritam Boro, Nilam Akash Medhi.
