Assam 118/2 against Delhi�s 472

GUWAHATI, Dec 2 � Assam batsmen are trying to build their innings as opponent Delhi piled up a big first innings total of 472 in the Ranji Trophy Super League match. At stumps on the second day, Assam were 118 for two.

Home team Delhi resumed their first innings at 332 for five and added another 140 runs losing the remaining five wickets. Captain Mithun Manhas was out for 124 while other overnight unbeaten batsman Mayank Tehlan scored 83. Pradeep Sangwan was the other successful scorer today with 76 off 63 deliveries. Assam pacers Abu Naschim Ahmed and Ranjit Mali today picked up two and three wickets respectively.

Assam started their first innings in a disastrous note losing opener Sib Sankar Roy at the team�s total of 14. Sib Sankar was out for 10. But Dhiraj Jadhav and number three batsman S Sriram tried to build the innings and added 95 runs before Sriram was out for 44. At stumps, Jadhav and skipper Amol Mazumdar were batting with 42 and 4 respectively.
