GUWAHATI, July 1 � Assam Sports Journalists Association (ASJA) will observe the World Sports Journalist Day tomorrow with a function at the Guwahati Press Club.
The State sports scribes� body, apart from holding other activities, will felicitate veteran sports journalists who had been pioneers in this field with honorary life membership. Discussions on sports journalism in Assam will also take place in the function. It is for the first time that the ASJA is organising the event along with the rest of the world. The Sports Journalist Federation of India will hold the Day with illustrious programmes.
