ASHA workers protest in Sonitpur against Health Dept’s failure to fulfil demands

Staging protest against the State Health Department’s alleged failure to fulfil their various long-standing demands, over one hundred ASHA workers of Sonitpur District, took out a protest rally throughout Tezpur town. With the culmination of the protest rally at the Court-Chariali in the town, the aggrieved ASHA workers said that 35000 ASHA workers and their families would boycott the ensuing assembly elections in protest against discrimination faced by them.
