Asha Bhosle celebrates �Rakshabandhan� in Arunachal

ITANAGAR, Aug 19 - Legendary singer Asha Bhosle, Union Ministers Nirmala Sitharaman and Kiren Rijiju visited border areas in Arunachal Pradesh and celebrated �Rakshabandhan� with the jawans of paramilitary forces and the Army.

While Bhosle visited Bomdila and celebrated the �Rakshabandhan� with the jawans, Sitharaman tied �Rakhis� to the Army and paramilitary jawans at the picturesque Dolma Lakhang along the Sino-Indian border near Tawang as part of the 70th year of Independence celebrations.

Bhosle expressed her happiness on visiting Bomdila, a beautiful town in western part of Arunachal Pradesh, and interacted with the members of the forces in the border area, an official release said.

Sitharamand met personnel of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) at Lumla Border Out Post (BOP), one of the remotest posts along the border, near Tawang. � PTI
