ASEB trounce Barekuri

GUWAHATI, June 28 - In yet another one-sided encounter of the 8th Bodousa Cup Football Tournament at the Nehru Stadium here, ASEB Sports Club drubbed Barekuri Football Club 5-0.

In the group stage league match today, the GSA Super League champions took a 3-0 lead at the breather and pumped two more after the break.

After yesterday�s dismal form, the local lads got their act together and started hammering at the inexperienced opponent�s goal in regular intervals.

Akrang Narzary opened the account in the 10th minute and after that it was free flow for the ASEB attackers into the Barekuri territory. Two snap goals by Syed Anser and Jessy Vanlalmuana in the 15th and 16th minute respectively put the local side in complete control.

After switching over, Akrang fired two more goals in the 87th and 90th minutes respectively to complete his hat-trick.

Sanjay Boro of the winning team was adjudged the player of the match.

Our Tinsukia correspondent adds: In an one-sided league match of Group A-2 of the championship at the Katchujan Field here today, Bodousa Sports Club defeated Dibrugarh University 7-0.
