ASEB to play Aryan Club in final

GUWAHATI, Jan 17 - The Assam State Electricity Board Sports Club (ASEB SC) eased past Tripura State team 2-0 in the semifinal of the 19th ONGC Lucky Srivastav Memorial Football Tournament at the Vivekananda ground in Agartala today.

Apurba Phukan broke the deadlock in the 35th minute while Hiteswar Hazowary found the back of the net in the 40th minute. With this win, ASEB sealed their place in the final and will play Aryan Club, Kolkata on January 19. Earlier, in the quarterfinal, ASEB got the better of Southern Samity, Kolkata 2-0. In the other semifinal, Aryan Club beat Oil India FC, Duliajan 3-1. Altogether 8 teams participated in the tournament.
