GUWAHATI, Aug 24 - Assam State Electricity Board Sports Club (ASEB SC) thrashed Dynamo Club 4-0 in their match of the RG Baruah Guwahati Sports Association Super Division Football League at the Nehru Stadium here today.
Having received a well-directed pass from Akrang Narzary in the midfield, Apurba Phukan found the back of the net with a powerful strike. Dynamo custodian Royal Basumatary just watched the ball go past him in the 10th minute.
To make things worse for Dynamo, Akrang Narzary ensured a two-goal cushion for the powermen in the 15th minute.
Dynamo were down to 10 man after Sohail Hoque was shown the red card in the 45th minute after conceding the second yellow in the match.
Jwanbla Brahma scored the third goal in the additional minutes of the first half. Apurba Phukan�s flag kick saw Jwanbla making no mistake in collecting the ball before finding the back of the net with a powerful right footer from inside the box.
ASEB SC suffered a major blow as Vanlal Zuidika was shown the red card in the 64th minute after being booked twice.
Substitute Priyo Kr Singh completed the rout after taking advantage of a defence lapse in the 88th minute.
Dynamo Club earned a spot-kick in the additional minutes of the match but Samuel R Hmar�s set piece was brilliantly saved by the ASEB custodian Daoga Brahma.
