ASEB SC, Navajyoti Club register win

GUWAHATI, Sept 22 - Assam State Electricity Board Sports Club (ASEB SC) and Navajyoti Club registered victories in their respective matches of the 66th Bharat Ratna Lokopriya Gopinath Bordoloi Trophy Football Tournament here today.

At the Nehru Stadium, Guwahati Sports Association (GSA) Super Division League champions ASEB edged past a spirited Sunrise Athletic Club side by a solitary goal. The all important goal was scored by Jwmbla Brahma in the 17th minute.

In the other match played at Sonapur Mini Stadium, Navajyoti Club thrashed Daimalu FC, Udalguri 3-0. Nigerian recruit Kamara scored a brace with goals in the fourth and 83rd minute while Chiranjit Rabha scored one in the 45th minute.
