MANGALDAI, Jan 4 - Former champions ASEB Sports Club, Guwahati moved into the semifinals of the 40th edition of Amba Medhi Football Tournament here today.
In a keenly contested quarterfinal match at the Mangaldai Vidyapith playground, ASEB got the better of Arunachal Football Club by a solitary goal. Sujulal Brahma netted the all important goal in the 45th minute.
Earlier on Friday, Assam Police Blues trounced local outfit Mangaldai Town Club 4-0 to storm into the semifinals. Monoj Boro, Sanjay Rabha, Sanjib Borgohain and Rajkumar Panging netted a goal each.
