AIZAWL, March 2 - As many as ten ambassadors of ASEAN countries with their spouses will visit Mizoram to attend Chapchar Kut, the biggest traditional festival of the Mizos, on March 6.
Officials said the ambassadors will arrive in Aizawl on March 4.
�The visit aims to promote tourism, trade and people to people contact not only between India and Myanmar, but also with Asean countries across all strategic crossings,� said the official.
From Mizoram, the ambassadors will proceed to Myanmar�s Chin state by road. They are scheduled to spend the night at Rihkhawdar village on the Myanmar side of the border on March 7.
